Born in Mexico (1973).

Creatively, I’ve been focused on sound as a physical analogy of perception and the psyche. Such perspective has informed my understanding of the ample artistic and practical implications this analogy can have in music.

My works have been performed by the likes of the JACK Quartet, Fonema Consort, and the Dante+Chin Duo. Also by performers such as Séverine Ballón and Kathryn Schulmeister.

Among recent performances, Huellas (rasga la niebla un pájaro) (2019) was premiered in April of 2024 in St. Paul, MN by Alyssa Anderson (voice), Evan Fraser (flute) and Rebeccah Parker Downs (cello), as part of a selection for the 113 Composers’ collective 2023-24 season.
